GUNUNGKIDUL, (KH),– SMPN 1 Rongkop genap berusia 60 tahun. Kegiatan peringatan, Selasa (2/8/2022) diwarnai dengan beragam agenda.
Ketua Panitia Peringatan, Randiyo, S.Pd menyampaikan, kegiatan peringatan disemarakkan dengan gelaran pawai, pentas seni, seremoni potong tumpeng dan sarasehan.
“Kirab diikuti 320 siswa. Para siswa dengan ide masing-masing menampilkan kreativitas. Ada rombongan seni, pasukan bendera, drumband, dan lain-lain,” kata guru Bidang Kesiswaan ini.
Dia menyebutkan, pasukan bendera secara khusus dihadirkan dengan tujuan untuk memberi penghormatan momentum HUT RI 17 Agustus. Kirab juga digelar agar masyarakat sekitar tahu bahwa SMP 1 Rongkop menyatu dan menjadi bagian dari masyarakat.
Lebih jauh disampaikan, adapun seni yang dipentaskan siswa, diantaranya seni suara, kesenian lokal seperti Jatilan serta teater.
Kepala SMPN 1 Rongkop, Dalno Legowo menambahkan, SMPN 1 Rongkop memiliki visi unggul dalam prestasi, terampil, berbudaya, berakhlak mulia dan berlandaskan iman dan taqwa.
Disebutkan, diusia 60 tahun, SMPN 1 Rongkop pernah dipimpin 9 kepala sekolah. SMP di jantung Kapanewon Rongkop ini memikili Kelas Khusus Olahraga (KKO) cabang Voli.
“Group voli putri juara bertahan OOSN tingkat kabupaten, sementara yang putra pernah menempati juara 3,” terang Dalno Legowo.
Pada sesi sarasehan, selain dihadiri tamu undangan dari kapanewon dan kalurahan, juga diikuti oleh perwakilan alumni. (Kandar)
